Entertainment Weekly joined with Once Upon a Time for an amazing cover photo.Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz had a nice chat with the publication to give us fans a scoop on what to expect in season two. The writer-producers talked about their happily revisionist fairy tale story is about to become the ultimate mashup.

Edward Kitsis says, “It’s like when you were young and had Star Wars figures and you mixed them with G.I. Joe,” and “Cobra and Darth Vader might not have known each other, but they do in my backyard. We’ve taken the principle of being 12-year-old boys and we’ve brought it to primetime.”

This upcoming Sunday many people are eagerly waiting the introduction of the handsome Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue). The following week is where the journey of Once Upon a Time will be taking us to a new world like we have never seen before on the series. The producers even mentioned that we would be introduced to their version of Little Mermaid. Not only that, the characters will be heading down the brick road to the Land of Oz eventually.

Since Mulan (Jamie Chung) and Lancelot (Sinqua Walls) have been brought on the guest cast, the producers are not ruling out other genres—Moby Dick, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Tron.

Horowitz said, “We’ve pushed the envelope with these characters and what we’ve done so far is just the beginning.”

Are you excited to see all the new lands and adventures? On the other hand, are you concerned too many stories can leave you feeling LOST?
