Ginnifer Goodwin plays Snow White and her alter ego Mary Margaret on ABC’s Once Upon a Time.
Originally from Memphis, Tennesse, Ginnifer Goodwin took her home in Hollywood effortlessly. With her outstanding talent, she was an Oscar-nominee in the biopic Walk the Line as the first wife of Johnny Cash. In addition, she played as Margene Heffman on HBO’s Big Love. In 2011, Goodwin performed in, The Miss Firecracker Contest. This piece is an industry reading of the Pulitzer Price-winning playwright comedy by Beth Henley.
Goodwin is also known for her roles in Something Borrowed, Ramona and Beezus, a Single Man, He’s Just Not That Into You, In the Land of Women, Day Zero and Birds of America.
Holding her BFA in acting from Boston University, she is a classically trained actress. In 1997, she headed to England to study as Stratford-Upon-Avon’s Shakespeare Institute, which is in conjuction with the Royal Shakespeare Company. In 1998, she obtained her Acting Shakespeare Certificate at London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. In 2000, she returned to England continue her acting education at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Goodwin’s senior year at Boston University, she acted in many student films, colleges and stage productions.
She graduated with honors and was presented with Excellence in Acting: Professional Promise Award by the Bette Davis Foundation.
Goodwin then moved to New York City once her schooling was completed. She was offered a guest role on an episode of Law & Order. In 2001, she took on the member as Diane Snyder when she joined the cast of Ed. Her breakthrough role was Mona Lisa Smile, which was her first featured film. Not too long after, she appeared in Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!
Currently, her other projects include the character’s voice of Jean-Marie St. Cloud in Electric City. This is an animated series, which debuted on Yahoo!
In 2012, Goodwin was honored at the 2012 Young Hollywood Awards as the Fashion Icon of the Year. At this time, she resides in Los Angeles California.
