Some may have noticed that we have been seeing less and less of our beloved Red (Meghan Ory). Well, there is a reason for this – she has left Storybrooke to join a new sci-fi drama for the adventure called Intelligence.

William Keck, a journalist at TV Guide, caught up with Ory to provide us the scoop on what is going on here.

Keck began the interview asking about people questioning that Ruby/Red was missing from the season finale. Ory told Keck that this took people back a little. He went on to ask how this all came about. She said everything was just all very crazy.

She was under contract for Once Upon a Time, but they (Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz) have added many characters to this year’s storyline. Their plans for Ruby did not happen because the show went a different path. She praised about how brilliant Kitsis and Horowitz are and they had to follow their incredible ideas for Neverland. If you have been paying attention Ruby has not appeared in a few episodes before she faded out.

The last episode she appeared in was when they came back from New York. She asked about what was happening and they told her, “We love you, but we have this story that’s so huge we don’t know where we’re going to put you at this moment.” With that said, she decided to look elsewhere.

Since the beginning of the season, we were under the impression that Ruby, in wolf form, was going to become a pawn of Regina or Mr. Gold. Ory agreed that was the idea from the beginning, but the Neverland story took on a life of its own. With that direction, there are so many more stories that can be told. The original story her and Josh (David/Charming) planned to spend more time in Storybrooke, but they decided to bring the girls back from Fairytale Land sooner.

TV Guide asked about ABC’s feelings with her heading to CBS. Ory told them that Intelligence is on CBS, but it is from ABC Studios. They were happy to keep her under another banner at ABC. However, there may be a chance of her appearing in more episodes of Once Upon a Time in the future.

TV Guide questioned that this may not be the last time we see Ruby then. Ory told them she is signed on as a regular on Intelligence, so we will have to see what the future holds. She went on to say, “Who knows what’s happening with Once? I think everything is changing over there.”

TV Guide then went on to talk about how we saw the leads head to Neverland in the finale. Does this mean we will not see much of other supporting characters? For example, we know that Keegan Connor Tracy who plays the Blue Fairy/Mother Superior is also working on Bates Motel as Norman’s teacher.

Ory said that everyone has been supportive of her decision. She did speak with Beverley Elliot (Granny) who was upset and worried about Ruby not appearing in the finale. She asked if Ory was doing okay.

She went on to tell TV Guide that it was a little strange to watch the finale and not see Ruby around. Ory said that she is going to miss being there everyday, but it is for a good decision. Down the road, she would love to guest star as Ruby once a year just to see what the character has been up to.

What are your thoughts about losing Red/Ruby from Once Upon a Time?

Neverland

Hook and William Smee discuss the boy that they found. Hook suspects the boy they rescued from the ocean may be the Dark One’s son. Hook and William go to the boy’s cabin. Hook’s suspicions are confirmed once he learns the boy’s name is Baelfire. Hook gives Bae a blanket and welcomes him aboard.

William pleads with Hook to turn Bae over to the Lost Boys. The Lost Boys are searching for him and this has William nervous. Hook does not want to give up Bae. The Lost Boys come aboard the ship and Hook lies telling them there are only men and no children. They search the ship. The leader of the Lost Boys searching for Bae warns Hook if he is lying his shadow will be ripped from his body. Meanwhile, Bae hides as they continue to search. The Boys find nothing and leave.

It is day. Bae walks the ship. Hook tells him he is impressed how well he handles himself. He teaches Bae how to steer the ship. Hook asks Bae what happened with his father. Not knowing Hook is enemies with Rumpelstiltskin, Bae confides in him. He tells Hook that his father is the Dark One and his father chose power over him. This is how Hook learns of the dagger.

Later William again pleads with Hook to give up Bae. Bae comes out wielding a sword and a drawing. He attacks Hook. Hook easily disarms him but wants to know what is wrong. Bae shows him he found a drawing of Milah. He accuses Hook of being the pirate who killed his mother. Hook explains to Bae that his father lied to him. He tells Bae that he and Milah fell in love and it is actually Rumpelstiltskin who killed her. Bae then accuses Hook of ripping their family apart. Hook tells Bae that Milah wanted to come back for him so they could be a family. He wants Bae to stay with him so that he may right a wrong and they could be the family Milah would have wanted. Bae tells him he wants to leave and go back to his father. Hook tells him he can never leave Neverland.

Hook later tries to stop a determined Bae from leaving. Bae tells Hook that he does not believe he could change and is only out for himself. This angers Hook who tells him he will continue his mission to kill Rumpel. They Lost Boys come on board the ship and Hook does not stop them from taking Bae. He scratches off a letter embedded on the ship.

The Lost Boys tell Bae they are not going to kill him. Once out of sight the leader and another Lost Boy talk. Bae may not be the right boy. We find out that the Lost Boys work for Peter Pan. The leader shows a picture of the boy Peter Pan is seeking. The drawing is of Henry.

Modern Day Fairy Tale Land

A man is washed up on the beach. Mulan and Aurora run over to see if he is alive. They flip the man over. It is an unconscious Neal.

Storybrooke

Mr. Gold watches Henry on a swing. He points the tip of his cane toward Henry. The rope holding the swing begins to unravel. Before anything happens Gold is interrupted. David asks him what he is doing there. Gold bitterly explains that Neal wants nothing to do with him so he was watching Henry. Mary joins David and they tell Gold there is something he must know. He is disinterested and tries to walk away. They stop him and tell him that they believe Neal is dead. They explain how Tamara and Greg were deceiving everyone and Tamara shot Neal before sending him down a portal. Mr. Gold is devastated. At the same time Henry embraces Emma as she delivers the news to him. Mary and David plead with Gold to help stop the trigger. He tells them he deserves to die for getting his son killed by bringing him there and does not want to help.

Hook walks through the mine with Greg and Tamara. They show him the diamond and explain it will end Storybrooke. They tell Hook they are willing to die for their cause. He asks who they work for. They admit that they do not know but believe in the work. They ask if he cares enough about vengeance to die for his cause. He tells them he does. Greg grabs a dwarf’s ax and hits the diamond. The trigger is active. They exit the mine. Outside an ominous vine begins to surround the clock tower.

I wake up and feel the ground shake. I know that the trigger has been activated. Mary, David, Emma and Henry come home. I tell Henry that he will live because he was not born in a different world. Hook enters the apartment and David punches him. Hook does not fight back but instead tells them he does not want to die and is there to help. A plan is devised. Emma will go with me to the mine so I can try and slow down the diamond. David and Hook will try to find Greg and Tamara so they can get the magic beans back and open a portal to get us out of Storybrooke. Before I leave I tell Henry how much I love him. I apologize for not being the person he wanted me to be. Henry tells me he loves me too.

Gold finds people in his shop. Leroy tells him that Mother Superior has been working on an antidote for memory loss. She has created one and he will give it to the one dwarf who still has his cursed memory for being pushed over the Stotybrooke line. He tells Mr. Gold that there is an extra one for Lacey/Belle. After the people leave the shop Lacey comes out and asks Gold what was going on. He tells her nothing.

Hook takes David to Greg. They sneak into a building. They catch up with Greg and David points his gun on him. He demands the beans. Tamara interrupts by shooting at David. David goes after her as Hook and Greg fight. Greg and Tamara get away but Hook has managed to secure one of the beans. He shows it to David and tucks it in his pouch.

In the mine I explain to Emma that once the diamond runs out of energy we will be out of time. I tell her that to slow down the device it will require all of the energy. Emma realizes that I plan to die to save them. She does not want it to be that way. I explain that I do not want Henry to remember me as the Evil Queen and this is what I must do. Emma tells me there has to be another way but I start my redemption. I use my magic to connect to the diamond to slow it down. Emma leaves.

The vines continue to grown. Gold and Lacey have a drink. She spills alcohol and goes to use Bae’s shawl to clean it. Gold is upset and stops her. She apologizes. Gold realizes she must know the truth. He brings out the broken teacup and uses magic to put it together. She does not understand what is so special about the teacup. Gold pours the blue liquid from the vile he received from Leroy into the teacup. Lacey regains her memory as Belle. They both cry. Mr. Gold tells Belle that he has failed.

David and Hook go to the Diner. Everyone cheers when they find out a magic bean has been recovered. Henry asks about me. Emma admits to him that I chose to save everyone and not join them. Henry is upset. Mary comes up with an idea. They will use the portal to get rid of the trigger. Emma argues that this is too risky. Archie steps in and tells them that this is the right thing to do. Emma finally agrees to the plan. Hook is not on board. He tells them he does not want to take such a chance. Emma tries to appeal to him and he seems to agree. He turns over the leather pouch that contains the bean. Hook wants to know why Emma is agreeing to this. Emma tells him that Henry’s father was killed by Tamara. A confused Hook asks who Henry’s father was. He is stunned to learn that Neal is Baelfire.

The group heads to the mine. They tell me their plan and I try to discourage them. They insist they must try to send the diamond into a portal. Emma opens the pouch. It is empty. Meanwhile, Hook has set sail on his pirate ship.

On the ship Hook thinks about what Emma told him about Neal/Bae. He stares at the magic bean.

I am losing my energy. I tell them I do not think I can contain the diamond much longer. Mary, David, Henry and Emma embrace. I see Henry looking at me. He comes over and hugs me. I cannot hug him back because I am still holding on to the energy of the diamond. Emma has an idea and tells us she thinks she can help. Emma joins me. She musters up her own magic and tunes into the diamond. Our magic together is powerful enough to turn off the trigger. Storybrooke is saved and everyone rejoices when they are still alive. We realize Henry is missing.

Greg and Tamara have taken Henry. Greg tells him that they have come to realize he is more important than ending magic. They create a portal in the ocean. We see them and try to catch up. We are too late. They jump in the portal and it closes. Mr. Gold has arrived with Belle and we plead for his help. He admits without a magic bean there is not much that can be done. Emma looks ahead and sees a ship heading to us.

Hook has returned. He has come to help. He and Gold will set aside their differences. Gold tells Belle that she cannot come. Belle tells him she believes he will not come back. Gold tells her he fears more people like Greg and Tamara will come to Storybrooke. He hands her a parchment and tells her to use it once they are gone. Gold explains that Henry is his grandson and in honor of Bae he must save him. Belle tells him that she will see him again. She passionately kisses Mr. Gold before he leaves.

Once on the ship Mr. Gold creates a magic globe. A red form appears. Hook tells them that he can read it. He solemnly tells everyone that Henry has landed in Neverland.

In the final hours of Season 2, Regina may prove everyone wrong that she is not that evil. Maybe?

The Evil Queen has an opportunity to redeem her wicked ways by helping to stop the end of Storybrooke. Lana Parrilla sat down with TV Guide to dish a little dirt on her side of the fairy tale.

TV Guide: It seems like Regina will be forced to team up with the Charmings in the finale. What does that partnership look like?

Lana Parrilla: It’s like her worst nightmare having to team up with the Charmings. She has to make decisions that are best for everyone because she falls under that category of her life being endangered as well. So, she’s going to have to team up with whomever to stop this trigger from being activated. We saw in the last episode where David (Josh Dallas) says to Regina while she’s lying in bed, “We are family.” I think that really hits a soft spot for her. It follows suit with the Evil Queen episode where we see her in fairy-tale land with Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) dressed as a peasant and she asks Snow, “If Regina could change, if she wanted to be a family again, would you take her back? Would you forgive her?” Snow says, “Yes, I’d love that. I’d like a feather bed too, but neither one is going to happen.” That’s ultimately what she really wants is a family, which is why she’s adopted Henry.

TV Guide: Is the possibility of having a family her motivation for possibly getting redemption?

Parrilla: Her family, Cora (Barbara Hershey) and her father, weren’t the most supportive and weren’t the best parents. I think this is an opportunity for redemption or a change. She’s going to do whatever it takes to save everyone.

TV Guide: Is she really doing it for everyone or is she, like most of the time, doing it for herself?

Parrilla: In this episode, I think it is genuine. I think she is doing it for everyone. Again, who knows what can happen next season. She was on the path to redemption for how many episodes this season and then again made another turn. But it’s always something that leads her there. It’s a choice, but something triggers that inside of her where she wants that revenge and she wants to get back and hurt someone. So, I find that at this point, she is responsible, she created this trigger, she made it, and it was a failsafe. I don’t think she ever thought she would have to use it. Look at where it was hidden for crying out loud. But now I think she does feel responsible and I feel like she needs to do something to stop Greg and Tamara from activating it.

TV Guide: We do see in the promos that once it is activated, Regina is trying to contain it. Might we see Regina consider sacrificing herself to save the rest of the Storybrooke residents?

Parrilla: Yeah. I think you’ll see that. The question is: Where does it go from there? That’s what everyone is wondering. Is Regina going to survive or is she not going to survive? That’s something you’re just going to have to wait and see. She’s doing her best to contain the energy, but given where she’s come from and what she’s just went through, she’s very, very, very weak.

TV Guide: That makes me nervous for the Evil Queen — a sentence I never thought I’d say.

Parrilla: Well, I think it’s surprising for everyone, including me when I read it. I was very surprised. She was just shocked for many hours at very high voltage. When you see her in this previous episode, she’s lying down on the bed and she can barely move. She’s already depleted and now having to contain this energy and control it, it’s going to take everything out of her.

TV Guide: We’ve seen Regina flip-flop a lot this season as far as deciding whether she’s good or evil. Will we see her definitively decide which side she falls on? And how do you feel about all the back-and-forth this season?

Parrilla: It’s kind of been a yo-yo. [Laughs] Life is like that though sometimes. It’s that moment of change where things are a bit muddy and you still fall back into old habits. It’s like a state of confusion that takes place. You have the inner voice — it’s like the little devil and angel resting on both shoulders going, “This is the right thing to do,” and the other one’s saying, “No. No. Don’t do that.” She’s a bit distrustful even though she really wanted to go down that road. She was going down the road of redemption for quite some time, but like I said, something happened, Cora died. There were multiple people involved, including her. She was tricked into killing her own mother. That just turned everything around for her. … Basically what she said is, “F—- you all. I’m going to take what I want. It always seemed to work before. Why should I change for anyone? I try to be good and it backfires. When I was evil, it seemed to work out all right for me.”

Towards the end of Season 2, it’s really going moment-to-moment with her. I don’t think she really likes the Charmings. Like I said, she hears from David, “We’re family,” and it’s a beautiful thing to hear, but still deep down inside her, she probably hates that she’s family with them. She probably hates that they now are somewhat related. With Regina, it’s always complex. I think that’s what makes her such a beautiful character. It’s just not black and white with her. I never know what she’s going to do next. I’m always surprised when I read these scripts that she’s pretty schizophrenic. It is fun playing out these different levels of emotion and not knowing really where her truth lies sometimes because she is all over the place. I am always just baffled by her behavior, her choices and the decisions she makes. I find them fun, I find them threatening, I find them vulnerable, scary and exciting. I mean, that’s why people love her. She’s so unpredictable.

TV Guide: Especially when she erased Henry’s memory. Will we see a confrontation between her and Henry about that?

Parrilla: Well, first of all, I can’t even tell you how many conversations I had over that scene because I was confused by it. … I don’t understand why is she doing this. Why would she use magic on Henry? She wouldn’t use magic on Daniel (Noah Bean), so why would she do it to Henry? I think it’s one of those crisis moments. She didn’t completely erase his memory. It was short-term, so she just erased that entire conversation so he wouldn’t remember what happened. It was almost like a little dose of magic just to see what it did.

I think her plan in demolishing Storybrooke and taking Henry to the Enchanted Forest would require a full bottle of potions, not just a little drop to really erase his memory. I think that’s her secret. No one knows that that’s happened. Obviously, Henry doesn’t. Will she do it again? Who knows? We never know what Regina is capable of. She is a very strong, strong woman and relatable for many people and also someone we can admire because of her strength. I think she makes decisions that she wasn’t necessarily expecting to make, but is forced to make in the moment. It’s because that clock is ticking. She doesn’t really have a lot of time to sit around and come up with a Plan B.

TV Guide: So she acts rashly, which is understandable… sort of.

Parrilla: Again, you see her heart. At the core of Regina, she is good. At the core of her being, I truly believe that she is good. I just think she’s been messed up along the way. All the betrayals and all the trauma and all the lies and the deaths have made her the person she is.

TV Guide: While the potential destruction of Storybrooke is going on, there is also the prophecy looming, which Lacey (Emilie de Ravin) has just found out about. Will Regina need to protect Henry while also trying to protect all of Storybrooke?

Parrilla: She will definitely need to protect Henry. She’s always protecting Henry. Lacey’s always been a problem from the beginning. She’s a wild one. But I think with that particular story line, there are bigger issues. What trumps all of that is this trigger. It doesn’t matter what Lacey or Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) or Henry or anyone does. At this point, the most important thing is to stop this trigger from blowing up all of Storybrooke. I think that’s where she’s coming from and that’s her No. 1 focus in this finale. Then she can deal with Lacey. Lacey can be demolished in about five seconds with Regina. She’s not even really concerned with her. Now Mr. Gold — that’s another story.

We are doing our best to compile as much information as possible before the season finale. If you are anything like us, then you are yearning for more details on what to expect during And Straight on ‘Til Morning. Now, we have talked about Greg and Tamara being guided by a “Home Office.” This may lead to the destruction of Storybrooke with the trigger in their hands.

With that said, Colin O’Donoghue (Captain Hook) chatted with TV Line to give us a little scoop on what we may expect to see in the finale.

TVLINE: What does the captain make of this strange boy?

O’Donoghue: Well, he’s just managed to find this boy floating in the middle of the sea, so it’s kind of an intriguing thing. He’s interested in who he could be or where he comes from.

TVLINE: I understand they find some things in common, as we get insight into Hook’s background.

O’Donoghue: Yes, you learn a little bit through Bae. You learn a bit about where Hook was from and about his background. You get to find out more about Hook and how he became the person that he is.

TVLINE: The scoundrel that he is.

O’Donoghue: Yeah, pretty much!

TVLINE: And what if Hook were to learn who Bae is?

O’Donoghue: Well, it’s bound to have some effect on him, because of the history with Rumplestiltskin and Milah.

TVLINE:What is Hook’s standing there in Neverland? What’s his relationship to that realm, to The Shadow, to the Lost Boys? What kind of dynamic will we discover?

O’Donoghue: It’s going to be very interesting for people to see Hook in Neverland and see [cocreators Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz's] take on Neverland, because as you can tell from the way they’ve set up the other characters from other stories, everything’s not as it seems. As we know, [today's] Captain Hook is very different than Hook from before. For Hook, going to Neverland — as we saw in the “Crocodile” episode — was very much about being able to take some time to figure out how to get his revenge on Rumpelstiltskin. That’s his reason for being there. But it’ll be interesting to see if and how he will interact with the Lost Boys or whomever in Neverland.

TVLINE: Meanwhile in Storybrooke…. Is Hook still doing Tamara and Greg’s bidding? Last week, they seemed to leave a bad taste in his mouth.

O’Donoghue: Hook is always out for himself, for the most part, so as long as Greg and Tamara can in some way get him to where he wants to be or help him out in his quest get revenge on Rumpelstiltskin or whatever it is, he’ll keep with it. But it’s not lost on Hook that he needs to make sure that he looks out for No. 1. He’s not particularly loyal to any one person — and certainly not Tamara and Greg, because they certainly go about their business in a bad way.

TVLINE: When he opted out of hanging around for Regina’s torture, was that coming from a place of sympathy? Or was it purely because Greg wasn’t furthering his revenge agenda in that instant?

O’Donoghue: There’s probably an element of both. In that case, there was maybe a bit of sympathy, because Hook is not an incredibly cruel person. He’ll do whatever it takes to meet his agenda, but I don’t think he particularly enjoys seeing somebody be tortured like that.

TVLINE: If he does wind up “caught in the middle” there in Storybrooke, between the good guys and the bad, will decisions that he’s made in the past inform the decisions he makes now?

O’Donoghue: In the finale you do get more of an in-depth look at his character. You see the layers that he has. He has it in him to be cruel at times, if that’s what he needs to do, but he also has the potential in him to be compassionate. Hook might have made a few bad decisions along the way, and he might feel like he should try to, in some way, make amends for them.

As we close into the finale, there are many questions still left unanswered. Let us take a moment to break down what we learned last night, and what we may be able to expect.

Neverland

Last night, we saw Wendy take a trip with a dark shadow to Neverland. However, she learned that it was not what she had expected. The dark shadow let her return because he wanted a boy. He returned the following night for a boy. Young Bae, nobly offered himself, so the Darling family was spared.

When young Bae was being taken to Neverland, he was able to break away and fall into the ocean. Hook and his crew spotted young Bae and fished him out of the water. As we learn a little more about Neal’s backstory, we also will learn about his connection to the infamous Captain Hook.

Edward Kitsis, the executive producer said, “What happens with him, Wendy and the Darling family is the emotional touchstone of what these last two hours are. As promised, the producers will also nod to a character we’ll meet next season who is likely Peter Pan himself.”

Keyword here is NEXT SEASON. Yeah, I just screamed. Okay, let’s move on..

The Home Office

Greg and Tamara were hired by an entity. In the finale, we will learn more about the source of their directions. Kitsis teased, “You will find out who the home office is, you will find out what they want, but you won’t know why they want it.” Adam Horowitz, the other executive producer said, “In bringing in Greg and Tamara, who are characters who we have established and shown to be real world characters, that was our way of saying, ‘What starts to happen when the real world gets connected to Storybrooke and the magic there?’” In the finale, we will learn a surprising revelation and where Greg’s father is. Woahhh!

The Trigger

Regina carried a black diamond with her. This is the Storybrooke’s curse failsafe. However, Greg and Tamara stole it and learned what it does. The black diamond is a self-destruct button that will erase everything in Storybrooke and return it to what it once was.

This also means that it will kill everyone who is in Storybrooke.

Snow White’s Dark Heart

Last night, Snow was determined to help Regina and possibly save her heart from darkening anymore. The real question that remains is if it is even possible. Horowitz confirmed that her dark heart would play a large part in the finale. We are going to see Snow take more steps in the direction to attempt to lighten her heart again. This will leave Charming in a position that he must balance Snow’s problems and saving all his people.

Emma’s Big Decision

If you are up-to-date with everything going on, then you will know that Storybrooke is faced with extinction in the finale. Emma will have to decide on the possibility of adventuring to Fairy Tale Land. In the finale, Kitsis did confirm that Emma would face her feelings for Neal and her connection to magic. He went on to say, “We’re definitely going to explore the magic inside her.”

Prophecy

In Season Two, we learned that Henry is the downfall to Mr. Gold/Rumple. However, we may see someone else try to rectify this situation. In other words, Lacey, who loves the drinks, may think its ridiculous to let a little kid stand in the way.

Finale Facts

It has been confirmed that in the finale we will be graced with the presence of Mulan, Aurora and Phillip. This means we may return to Fairy Tale Land, but does this mean everyone will make it back there? The producers did not confirm or deny the death factor. However, they said we should always consider it. The producers ended the teasers with we also will look at some of the characters in a way we have not seen yet. Eeekkkk!

With all this said, what are your theories for the two-hour finale?

Last night, many Oncers were glued to their television during episode 21, “The Second Star to the Right.” There was a surprising turn when the show possibly killed off an adored character. Well, we will soon enough find out more next week when we approach the season finale.

During “The Second Star to the Right,” Emma could not let go of a feeling that Tamara was the mastermind behind August’s end and Regina’s disappearance. With the aid of Mr. Gold’s magic, Snow White put herself into a position that was quite shocking. This allowed Snow to connect with Regina in order to find out, where she was being held. This led to the tip that she was somewhere that smelled like sardines.

The sad part of this episode was that Neal and Emma confirmed the hard way that Tamara was working with Greg. After Tamara knocked out Emma, she shot Neal. However, before she finished him off, Emma awoke and tried to stop her. Tamara had a magic bean in her pocket that she used to open a portal and Neal was sucked in.

Before Neal lost his grip, him and Emma exchanged words of love that absolutely broke our hearts. Emma feared wherever that portal took him; Neal will not survive with that gun wound.

Do you think that was the end of Neal? Tell us below in the comments your theory on what you believe will happen in the season finale.

Fairy Tale Land

Young Baelfire hangs over the portal gripping Rumpelstiltskin’s hand. He pleads with his father to follow him down to a land without magic. Rumpel tells him he cannot. Bae is angry and disappointed. He lets go and falls down the portal.

Storybrooke

Neal remains in bed. Tamara is getting ready to go running. She is training for a marathon. As Neal continues to lie in bed, he hears his father in the street. He gets out of bed to see what is happening. He finds Mr. Gold practically standing on Dr. Whale tormenting him for Lacey’s entertainment. Neal breaks up the show. Dr. Whale leaves and Mr. Gold tells Lacey to go inside his shop. Neal is disgusted and tells his father he has not changed. Gold asks why Neal is still in town. Neal tells him it is for Henry and not for him.

Emma and David arrive at my office. They have guns drawn. They have come to confront me and retrieve the magic beans I stole from them. Mary follows behind with Henry who asks them to not hurt me. At my office Emma immediately senses something is off. It is unlike me to leave my office open. The beans are also missing. Emma notices that the code to get in has been overridden. She tells them she believes Tamara has something to do with this. Mary dismisses this theory and suggests they confront Gold.

Tamara goes to see Greg. She shows him the magic beans. She explains she learned of them through Neal. The mention of Neal seems to evoke jealousy in Greg. Tamara explains that once the mission is over her engagement ring from Neal comes off. Greg gives Tamara the pouch he found on me. Tamara leaves. Greg walks into another room where I am being kept. I am strapped to a table offering to make a better deal with Hook than whatever these two idiots have. Greg begins attaching prods to me. Hook tells Greg he has no interest in helping to torture me and leaves the room. Once Hook is gone Greg begins questioning me again about his father.

Emma goes to Neal. She tells him that I have gone missing and she is certain Tamara is behind it. Neal looks annoyed and tells her she is wrong. He tells Emma that Tamara goes jogging in the forest to train for a marathon. Emma points out that there is sand on the floor which indicates Tamara is lying to him about where she is going.

Mary and David go to Gold’s shop. Gold is busy entertaining Lacey with alcohol. David reminds Gold that he owes him a favor. Gold asks Lacey to leave them for a moment. Mary and David bring Gold up to speed that I am missing. He pulls out a vile and tells them it has one of my tears. He indicates to Mary that he needs one of hers. He tells her to think of something dark to help herself. It does not take long for Mary’s eyes to tear up. He captures one of her tears and adds it to the vile. Gold explains that Mary must drop the tears in her eyes. It will create a brief connection to me where she can see through my eyes and feel whatever I am feeling. He tells them his obligation is fulfilled. Once Mary and David leave Lacey returns to the room. She admits she heard everything and knows now Gold really can do magic.

At their apartment David tells Mary that she does not have to do this. Mary insists she owes it to me to help me. She leans back as David drops the tears into her eyes. At first there is no change. Suddenly Mary is tuned into me. She sees Greg torturing me and can feel the awful pain I am experiencing.

Emma and Neal walk along the beach. They run into Tamara. She tells them she jogs there as well. Emma mentions I am missing. Tamara seems to be sorry to hear that. She leaves them and continues jogging. Emma turns to leave Neal but he stops her. He tells Emma that he has been afraid she would never forgive him for letting her go to jail and not a day goes by that he does not regret what happened. He apologizes.

Tamara enters the room as I lay there writhing. I tell her and Greg that they are fools who came here to steal magic. I am corrected by these two as they tell me their intent is to destroy it. Even though I am weak from being shocked I manage to chuckle. I tell them the two of them cannot destroy magic. Greg explains to me that there are more of them. They are part of a network. He goes on to say after he left Storybrooke as a child he told people what happened. Some thought he was crazy but he found others that believed. They add that Storybrooke is not the only place where magic has come.

Mary wakes up. David is caressing her face. She tells him she could not tell where I was being kept but they have to find me. David tells Mary to concentrate. Mary begins describing the room and mentions the smell of sardines. David calls Emma who is still with Neal. She listens to David and once he mentions sardines she notices a cannery. She tells David to head down there.
Back at Gold’s shop, Lacey asks why he did not tell her about the magic sooner. Gold explains to her that magic comes with a price. Gold dazzles Lacey by making a necklace appear out of thin air. Lacey tells him that she seeks immortality and to stay young so that they can be together forever. Gold explains that immortality does not mean that someone cannot kill you. He mentions that there is a person who poses a threat. Lacey simply tells him that person should be done away with.

Emma has her gun out. Neal follows her as they creep around the cannery. He tells her if she is right about Tamara of course he will help. They run into Mary and David. They decide to stay split into two groups to cover more ground. At the same time they are being watched. Tamara sees them on her laptop. She tells Greg they must leave. I am surprised when I overhear that they have come to save me. Greg will not leave with Tamara. He tells her he will catch up with her. Tamara leaves and Greg is about to turn the voltage on me again. I stop him telling him I have something to say. I tell him his father is dead. Greg looks mortified and does not want to believe this. I tell him I killed his father myself. I explain that I wanted him to know so I could see his face once he found out. Greg turns the machine back on upping the voltage. I scream.

David finds us and shoots his gun to let Greg know he is there. Greg runs off and David is set to follow. Mary tells him instead they must worry about getting me help or I will die.

Tamara sneaks up on Emma and hits her in the head. Emma falls down and Neal finds himself face to face with Tamara who aims a gun at him. He is shocked. Tamara explains her plans to cleanse the world of magic. Neal asks how long she has been lying to him. She admits right from the moment he spilled coffee on her he was set up. She also admits that she does not love him.

Neal comes toward her and she shoots him. Although it is not a fatal wound he falls down. Emma is awake and ambushes Tamara. The two women fight as Neal is injured and cannot get up. Emma finally has the gun. Tamara throws a magic bean in front of Emma that opens a portal and then escapes. Emma climbs the wall to avoid being sucked into the vortex.

Neal makes it to his feet and helps Emma down. The portal widens. Neal finds himself in the same position he was in as a boy. He is dangling over the portal while Emma hangs on to him. He tells her he is too injured to hang on. Emma pleads with him but he tells her Henry needs her. Emma admits to Neal she is still in love with him. Neal tells her the same. Neal falls through the vortex. The ground seals itself back up and Emma is in tears.

Greg goes to the forest to the campsite where I told him his father was buried. He digs and finds what he believes is his father’s grave.
I am unconscious at Mary and David’s. They have called Mother Superior to heal me. She leaves them. Emma returns home. She tells them Tamara killed Neal. David comforts Emma. She knows she will need to tell Henry. At the same time I wake up and find Mary taking care of me. I admit to her I am surprised they saved me. Mary and David tell me I am still family. I ask where Greg and Tamara are. I tell them they have the ‘Trigger’ that could end Storybrooke.

Tamara meets Greg in the forest. She tells him she is sorry about his father. She pulls out the pouch and tells him she knows what it does. She gives the Trigger back to Greg and tells him they need to blow up Storybrooke.

London

Bae arrives in a strange land. He is alone.

Bae takes to wearing ragged clothing. He looks through the garbage for his next meal. Bae breaks into a home. He sees bread and immediately rushes to it and begins eating. He is interrupted by a dog. The dog growls at him. A girl about the same age as Bae carries a candlestick believing Bae may be a robber. She realizes he is just hungry and wants to help him. She introduces herself as Wendy Darling.

Weeks go by and Wendy has been hiding Bae in her house. She brings him food. They are eventually caught be her parents. Mr. Darling questions who Bae is and how long he has been there. Bae politely answers his questions. Mrs. Darling tells them she wants Bae to stay as he has no family.

It is night time and Wendy takes Bae to her window. She and her brothers are visited by a Shadow each night. Wendy believes it is magic. Bae is alarmed and immediately warns her to avoid the Shadow and all magic comes with a price. She accuses him of not believing in magic. Bae explains that he is quite familiar with magic and it destroyed his family. He makes Wendy promise him to stay away from the Shadow.

Mrs. Darling looks upon Bae and the other children as they sleep. Once she leaves the room Bae wakes up and finds Wendy at the window. The Shadow has returned. Bae goes to stop Wendy who is eager to seek adventure with the Shadow. She does not listen and allows it to take her. She tells Bae she is going to Neverland.

Bae sleeps. He wakes up to Wendy who has been returned home. He tells her he was worried about her. Wendy describes Neverland and explains there are magical creatures there. There are no adults supervising the children and no one ever grows up. She is solemn when she tells him how they children end up crying because they miss their family but are not allowed to return home. He asks how she escaped. Wendy tells Bae she was allowed to leave because they wanted a boy. She believes the Shadow will return to take one of her brothers. Bae promises he will not let this happen.

The next night Bae tries to arrange the room in a way to protect the Darling children from the Shadow. The Shadow is still able to enter the house. Wendy is horrified as the Shadow approaches her young brother Michael. Bae interrupts by offering himself to the Shadow in place of Michael. Wendy begs him not to do this but he tells her he will not allow magic to tear her family apart. Bae is carried away through the London sky. The Shadow ascends with Bae toward a star.

Bae lights a match under the Shadow. This causes the Shadow to drop him. Bae falls into the water and a confused Shadow cannot find him. Bae is rescued and brought upon a ship. His rescuer introduces himself. It is Captain Hook.
