The majority of the cast on ABC’s Once Upon a Time plays two characters. They have an alter ego on Storybrooke and Fairytale Land. After a mini-hiatus, Once Upon a Time will be returning with the 19th episode of Season 2 called “Lacey.” In this episode, we will take on Emilie de Ravin’s third persona.

The Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) filled Belle’s head with cursed memories. The former sweet Belle is now strutting her stuff around town as a sassy scarlet named Lacey. This is when Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) turns to David (Josh Dallas) to help restore his love’s memories. Will Mr. Gold and David succeed and rejoin the love that Belle and him once had?

TV Guide’s William Keck had an opportunity to sit down and chat with de Ravin about her character on Once Upon a Time. She told Keck how the path the story has changed is turning into a fun one. She described to the reporter her third alter-ego as “debaucherous.” We would see Belle have a cup of tea, but with Lacey, she would order a double whiskey on the rocks.

Lacey also has a slang drawl and is more comfortable with her sexuality. She also has no care about what people think. De Ravin explained the script describes her as a “scantily-clad bar whore.” Both the reporter and de Ravin confirmed the resolution will be revealed in the two-hour finale.

de Ravin went on to say,

“There is definitely a resolution in the finale and a part of the story between Mr. Gold and my character that’s really beautiful. But as true love is, it’s never an easy path. Let’s put it that way.”
